I
purchased "A Shepherd's Farm" almost 7 years ago.
It has truly been a treasure to me.
My mother (in fact, my entire family) loves the
painting and other artwork by Edmund Sullivan.
We actually purchased a painting last year for
her for Christmas. She still would love Croague
Patrick tho, Edmund! How about an 8x10? Thank
you for the joy you bring to so many people with
your vivid and inspiring artwork! Cheers...

Dear
Edmund, We just received our "Last Light, Connemara".
It is beautiful! We hung it on an adjacent wall
to "Sunday Morning". Now, I'm trying to talk him
into "Rainbow Over Dingle"!

Dear Edmund, Your work is beautiful...the colors,
the feel of Ireland. I do hope to visit your country.
Thank you for visiting our museum; I enjoyed showing
you around. It's always nice showing our art to
those who appreciate it.

It
was over twelve years ago that a mutual acquaintance,
Anne O'Grady brought me to your home in Bronxville.
I doubt you remember. I was a budding artist and
she asked me if I wanted to meet you. Honestly,
I was not aware of you at the time, as I was fairly
new to art and my mind was busy just trying to
figure out color, composition, subject, etc. Yet
she felt my work was worthy enough for me to meet
you and learn more. Be that as it may, I was not
prepared for what I saw when I entered the back
door of your home/studio. A saw a beauty and clarity
in your paintings that stunned me. A realism and
emotion that was beyond words. You were so gracious
as I asked you questions about your work and how
I could improve mine. You then wrote, which I
still cherish, a "tip" sheet of colors for me
to use in my future paintings, as well as a heartfelt
spiritual tribute to my future responsibility
as an artist. I have kept those items close me
all these years. And have heeded your words. I!
thank you for inspiring me. For me, you have been
and always will be the "true" painter of light.
God bless you and your family. Oh, and incidentally,
I now have two boys of my own and the oldest,
Christopher, 7, loves to paint with me. The Very
Best To You!

What
a God-given gift....the artistry of Edmund Sullivan.
His paintings transport the viewer to a place
we all long to be and for that moment 'we are
there' . The Land of Our Dreams is indelibly etched
into the soul of each us who longs to connnect
to our ancestors , the Exiles of Eire.

I
would like to request a new catalog. I was given
one years ago when I first met my wife Marian
who came from Keady, Co. Armagh to New York City
for a three week vacation and we met and the rest
was history. The closest I ever came to visiting
Ireland was the Irish bars in the Bronx and in
Woodside!!!!!! When I first went to Ireland me
and my wife were dating and I went over to meet
her parents...I must say it was my first time
out of the country and I loved it!!!!!!! Me and
Marian were married in April 1990 and we spent
our honeymoon in Ireland.
As a New York City Policeman I had a fellow co-worker
whose aunt had a bed and breakfast in Galway.
He contacted her and after spending time up North
with family and friends who just got back from
our wedding in New York City, we went off to Galway.
I must say the painting, "A Shepherd's Farm
on the Irish Coast" was what our view was
like from our window.
I first saw the painting in an Irish Import Store
and Bar Gibbons Pub in Jackson Heights. I want
to order this for our upcoming wedding anniversary.
I must say we have two beautiful boys, Patrick,
6 years old and Ryan, 2 years old, and yes, they
have both been over to Ireland and their Grandparents
are coming over next month to visit us.
We
purchased #691 some years ago and have enjoyed
it very much. "May the road....."

Just
wanted to tell you that I went to Ireland over the
summer for the first time. I have been looking to
going back as soon as I possibly can. Unfortunately,
due to recent events I think it will take me longer
to get there than I had hoped it would. Looking
at your amazing pictures has transported me back
to that magical place without even having to leave
my home, and I thank you for that.

Mr. Sullivan, Both parents were born and raised
in CO. Mayo, Ireland and I have been there five
times and just wanted to tell you that you're
work is beautiful. Thanks for letting me relive
my times there.
